Stephen Homewood

Born in Hughenden, Queensland, Stephen grew up in Mackay tropical Queensland, surrounded by the vibrant colours of native birds and animals which come through in his work from time to time.  Stephen  is fascinated by Australian history and Australian animal extinction. Ned Kelly, the first Australian convicts and Trackers are one of the few themes he explores. Stephen is a prolific painter.  He is constantly working on new ideas and styles to explore his techniques.
Stephen has had exhibitions all over the world. His most recent was at Milton House Gallery, Mackay, QLD where the famous Artist Donald James Waters opened his solo exhibition.
